I'm sure this has been posted somewhere, but try as I might I can't find a good discussion of this anywhere. Google has been a bit slow with bringing the market to android tablets... I think that the Samsung Galaxy tab has an official Market app as it has been "endorsed" or whatever by google.
What is in the works in regards to Android market capability with NI and Adam- or will that capability be a wait and see until Honeycomb?

Google has made a few statements that tablets will be allowed in the Market beginning with Gingerbread. Honeycomb will be the version of Android truly optimized for tablets.
I remember them saying it would because it's specs fit right for the screen size but by the way google has been about it partialy doubt it. Either way even if it's not on there couldn't u just download the market.apk and install it?
Rohan has said Adam will have Market access it just mean one of two things Google has made an exception or Adam will launch with Gingerbread.
I guess Three panels in Adam will suitable for running android apps which are designed for mobile phones (without compromising resolution etc)
You just can't download the market.apk. You must dupe the market into thinking it is a phone. When I got my ZT-180 the guys over at XDA developers and slatedroid.com put out a work around for it. Basically we had to use an app called market enabler so it would think it was a Tmoble phone.
Yeah i fugured market wouldn't just work out of the box. I put a modded market app on my phone before so i guess we might have to do that (if it doesn't come stock)
Notion Ink could also make their own market right? aside from the google one that is.
Genesis is NI's market solution... the problem i foresee with this is that it is device/company specific, and the larger android market will see development across many devices- there are a lot of android tablets on the horizon. I think Genesis will be a great place for apps geared directly for NI's products, but many companies will be looking to develop for a larger audience. This to me is the appeal of Android over iOS- hardware devices suited to an individuals needs with software apps developed for individual customization of the user's experience.
