When I asked my provider for a clone of my existing SIM-card, they asked me about what tablet I had, because apparently you can't use normal SIM-cards[see edit] in the iPad (!). I'm guessing the Adam will work with all SIM-cards, but still this got me wondering what would be the best mobile provider subscription for me...
1. Will it be possible to make phone calls using the Adam (using a hands-free to not look stupid)...
- ...out of the box?
- ...in the future using 3rd party apps?
2. Will it be possible to send and receive SMS/MMS...
- ...out of the box?
- ...in the future using 3rd party apps?
3. And out of curiosity; if #1 is yes, will it be possible to video-chat with iPad-owners or other videochat-capable phone owners without using the internet?
- ...out of the box?
- ...in the future using 3rd party apps?
Edit: By "normal SIM-card", what my provider meant was SIM-cards that support voice, SMS etc. instead of only data traffic. Not SIM vs. microSIM.
