Notion Ink sold out to February 2011

According to this news report today, it looks like the preorder link has been disabled and all versions have been sold out until mid February. (Actually, Rohan says there are some extra LCD versions, but it's unclear to me if these will be sold before the next batch is made.)

    I hope that's not true.

Second that. LCD options still available on their pre-order site.
The site was down earlier and came back up.
They must have caught it during the down time

When Business Line checked the site notionink.com today, the “pre order now” link had been disabled, presumably because the pre orders had been sold out.
    As well from the article:

According to Mr Shravan, “The variant which has not been sold out is the one with normal LCD. Total sales for normal LCD are more than Pixel Qi, and the stock is still there because we manufactured them a lot since they are cheaper and Pixel Qi technology is not quite known.” Pixel Qi displays are ideal for battery-powered devices because they can save battery power by turning off the backlight.

I have too just checked the website, it seems like there are still LCD models available. I guess we will have to wait and see what Rohans says. I hope that it isn't true though.

why would they be sold out until feb if they can produce 100k per month...that would mean they have already sold almost 200k? that seems unlikely

Rohan mentioned that there was a ramp up phase before getting to full production. so no 100,000 a month until there up and running
