    Titanium backup Pre flash query

i feel i finally have TB sussed . i still havent decided which Beast rom ill flash yet ( on 2.1.3 , considering 2.2 or 2.2.1 for toggle cell off and save battery life . Hope 2.2 has this as ive read concerns of 2.2.1 ) . Heres my TB concern . The backups get saved to a folder on internal sd card , but when i flash/install either beast , everything gets wiped ? As i believe the instructions suggest doing a complete/clean wipe . How can these files still be there to restore ? Heres what i wish to do , i want to either tell TB to save to sdcard2 , or somehow move those files there myself after it saves to internal card . Can i do this and how ?
    Cheers

No, if you perform a backup it will store it on the SD card.. but when you go to recovery to wipe, it doesn't wipe the SD card, so when you update and get back to desktop just open up TB and restore your apps.

The wipe only affects the system partition, which is the <2GB root drive that you see in Sniffer. As long as your don't use Cloworkmod or something like that to wipe the internalSD, you should be fine.

However, you can certainly use Sniffer or another file manager to backup your internalSD to sdcard2 or a USB stick. This is a simple copy/past of the TB backup folder, and I would recommend it regardless of what you're doing since it's a good bkp practice. TB also has a Dropbox option that I use, which pretty much ensures that your stuff won't be lost if anything bad happens to your Adam.

Also, under preferences you can specify a different location for your back up. This effectly allows you to several backups, even if you are not using TB Pro. Just keep designating a different back up location. All of my TB backups are on sdcard2. It's worth reading the TB wiki and also just cycling through all of the preferences and settings just to see the range of functions available.
