force close

Hi,
I installed comic viewer and winamp in my adam. Every time I open the application I get the following message 'the application has stopped unexpectedly. please try again' and I have to force close it. What do I do? please help.

What rom are you using? If stock then be prepared for it to happen a lot.

Other than that try re-installing said apps, rebooting, find a different source for them. Can't think of anything else off the top of my head, I'm sure someone with experience with those apps on adam will hop on sooner or later to help.

Try beast rom, I haven't seen a force close once on it.

Thank you. I have reinstalled different apps, rebooted, but the same result. It is stock rom. I am a novice. What is beast rom? where do I get it?

Beast rom info, how-to, updates, etc can be found at the TabletRom Forum. Hope that helps.
There's Beast, EdenX, and VEGAn-Tab roms to choose from, eventually StephenH will update his. You'll get different options and different opinions about each one.

Thanks. It seems a bit complicated for me. Anyway I will try it.

It does seem complex but make sure you follow the instructions and you'll be fine.

I managed to muck it up first time I tried (didn't use the power button to select the update option). It's just a case of starting from the top again.

Next time I did a new update it took about 5 mins and most of that was watching the Adam Boot up (takes a few mins the very first boot after the update).

Good luck you'll see such an improvement in the device.
