Well if I have warranty issues and stuff and I think Asus is a safer bet than NI ( dosen't matter how good the community is sorry ).
I think its the Asus for me but until its actually released I'll keep an eye on this forum and the Adam.
    Cheers guys

The Asus Transformer has an IPS screen with a higher resolution, will be available at retail stores and Asus warranty is great as I've had their laptop and dropped it, Asus still replaced it under their Accidental Warranty. They've got service depots everywhere, and from the looks of it the pricing is around $400USD as was seen on both Amazon + Best Buy. Better screen, better support, more storage, cheaper price with Honeycomb and you don't have to go through the "PRE-ORDER" fiascos of NI, so what do you think is the better buy? And from past Asus products I'm sure the bootloader is wide open cause Asus never locks anything down. I am getting rid of my Xoom and grabbing an EEE Transformer as soon as its available.

I think it is dependent on how you will use it. If you will be using it outside then PQI is definitely the way to go. It's not the wizbang show stopper of a slick backlit off or led. But if it turns out to be the workhorse that it is supposed to be, PQi for my purpose wins. Quite frankly, I see several tablets in my immediate future.

ASUS is a good company. I've had a netbook for a while. Solid machine, outlived its specs, so in the end, you can't really go wrong.

If I knew how close to launch the (then, rumored) transformer was gonna be before I could get my adam, I would've just waited a bit more.

I second this. And by immediate future, I'm thinking within the next few months.
The Playbook is on my hit list.

Considering how long it takes to receive your pre-order, it might be better just to wait for the Asus.

Yes, I agree on this point. Asus is more established than NI , at least u won't go through the pain of waiting for the device after u made the payment.

the big the transformer as going for it is the docking station..... I'm personally sold on the adam but my wife is also looking for a tablet the PQ screen is a bonus but she is looking for a tablet / netbook hybrid as apos to a ereader/tablet hybrid. so having the option of plugin in the a docking station with a full hardware keyboard, extra battery and access to ofline storage media is kind of nice...

and before the comment start coming in yes i know that all of these are availabe (except for the battery) with the adam but they are handle separately. she is no geek/technical already. she like he tool simple
    Nexus One (CynanogenMode 7 RC2)
Ordered on 18 Feb 2011 Pixel Qi + wifi. -> current location... in my hands
