Cool Adam or Asus EEE Pad Transformer?

I just got the invitation for an Adam but Asus is selling its new 10.1 inch tablet at just $400 starting for 16gb which will turn out to be slightly cheaper than the LCD wifi only Adam I was going to get. What do you guys say? The Asus has honeycomb with around 10 hrs of battery life (+6.5 hrs if you get the keyboard) and pretty much the same specs as the Adam. It has a microSD and USB slot as well. I know this is Adam fan forum so please be unbiased in what you say.

    Cheers

Edit: The Asus tab is the called the Asus EEE Pad Transformer

The best thing about the adam for me is the PQ screen and ability to easily put things onto it. If the lcd is fine for you then I would say get whichever one is available right now or soonest.
It is here and is keeping me well entertained

If you want Honeycomb and you don't want to pay too much, the transformer seems to be the way to go. Hardware wise, it's pretty much superior or equal to the adam in every way possible, with the perhaps exception of ports and the PQi screen.

However, this is assuming that the Transformer will end up costing $400, that price is still tentative, and I suspect it's incorrect. The price is set in the UK for 379 GBP. That is the equivalent of ~606 USD. It really doesn't make sense to me that it would sell in the US for so much cheaper.

Best Buy botched up the pricing on the xoom before it came out, and I suspect it's doing the same for the Transformer as well.

If Best Buy goofed then so did Amazon: http://www.androidcentral.com/asus-e...coming-may-7th
The part of the reason for such a steep price difference is because of the 20% vat for the UK.

    *On topic*
It really depends on how you plan to use the device. Indoors or out, generally stationary or mobile. Also how often you upgrade your devices could come into play.

you may be right. im all for a cheap 3.0 device really, only way to get the OS out there is to, well, get the OS out there.

interestingly enough however, i tried searching for the amazon link and couldnt find it. and clicking the amazon link on that site gives a error page.

seems like amazon ripped down the link.....coincidence?

    works fine for me.

2 month ago it was Adam I would have said, and ordered as well. Today.... if the PQ were not important, I would definitively chose the Transformer.

Well it's been confirmed by engadget as $400-500 US. Note I live in Australia so it might be around $50 more. It really comes down to the release date now. If it's mid April I'll wait for but otherwise it's the Adam for me.

Transformer will be released early / mid May.
As we could see here, Adam might take 1,5 - 2 month from ordering.
I hate to say that, but Transformer wins.
