*sigh* Does everything have to be an opportunity to have a dig? Perhaps you should change your URL to "Debbie Downer?" I got my tracking number today and you're just sucking the optimism just right out of the equation.
You're right, though. If I get a DOA I'm going to have to go through another waiting period. On the other hand, the last time I went through this with Samsung they not only refused to fix the device, but responded with the same 'ole
pro forma responses because the problem was actually the wireless dongle for a Blu-Ray player and it was too expensive for them to replace. They were happy for me to buy a new one, but despite the fact that it was in warranty they were not willing to honour that agreement.
That's a
big company. I had to deal with no responses to emails, poor customer service, and the decision to either take legal action against the company or just suck it up. Since I'm not a wealthy person I just had to suck it up and have a cable trailing across the floor because a "big company" had figured that the cost of postage to determine that there was nothing at fault with the device (they tell you not to ship the wireless dongle) was less than replacing what was probably a faulty wireless dongle that they didn't want to admit was faulty.
Go big business when you're the little man. You see, there's the flip side to the coin. If you're fortunate enough not to have experienced it then great. Sucks if you're the bug that the big man steps on.
Little man? The proportions change somewhat. Maybe. Who knows.
