Media Playback -no sound

Hello Addicts,

I tested to play Videos on my Adam (divx, wmv, mp4, avi). Pictures are nearly perfect. But there is no sound. When pushing the sound buttons, there is a message box telling that I have increased/decreased ringtone volume...

What´s the mistake

It could be a compatibility issue. I've had some videos play fine but no sound while others didn't play at all. It's all about the codecs.

Not sure why, but it looks like it's adjusting your ringtone volume, not the media volume. Go to settings>sound>volume and adjust the media slider. If that doesn't do it, then the problem may be the codecs, like whitebear said.

Edit: Actually, with the stock NI rom, it may be different, but you get the general idea. Find the sound settings and adjust the media volume.

i adjusted them... but there was no change in sound playback. youtube works fine with sound, but Apps: Video and Gallery are still muted while volume control just adjusts the ringtones while playing
