    Power adapters

    Hi guys,

Any ideas about getting spare power adapters for the Adam so that I don't have to lug the one that I have everywhere. I usually leave them in the office and a couple of other places that I have to be at.

    Thanks.

I can give you some idea, however there is a key element that I do not know. First, the adapter should be at least the same output voltage as the Adam. I believe the voltage is 19vdc and the current that it need to be is 2.1A. From a power adapter standpoint you only need to get an adapter that provides at least 2.1A. This would be a 40 watt power supply. If you have more than 2.1A that is okay, as the Adam will only draw what it requires, which is the 2.1A. The key element missing is the size of the output connector. If someone provides this information then it would be very easy to go to Jameco.com or Astrodyne.com and any number of wholesalers to pick up a spare supply.

Is not the information listed on the power adapter itself? There's got to be a regulatory thing going on there and, if so, then hopefully someone that has the device is going to be able to post up the relevant information.

picked one of these up at Office Depot for 29.99 (apparently also on sale through iGo's site for same price) - works like a champ with one of the included netbook tips... woot!

Just wanted to know whether the power plug for adam is 3 pin or 2 pin. Because I already have a 2 pin converter lying around.

@aman9393: The small power brick for the Adam ends in a US-style 2-prong plug.

Any combination of power brick wall plug and device plug that works with an HP mini 1xxxx series will work.
