i found something in ADAM maybe related to the mysterious sensor

ok hi everybody so i was just surfing there new site and found this picture in the developer tab i clickedfinal.jpg can anyone tell me what is that thing circled , i think it may be the mysterious sensor.if not im sorry
but can anyone tell me what is this

I think those are SD card slot and SIM card slot, sorry to burst your bubble.

I agree that they're probably SD and SIM slots.

If you look at the images at the blog posts The Baby is here! and Week-End Special – Part VIII, you'll see that these slots are missing from the sides. Thus, unless they're putting them under the battery (nooooooo!!!) this is the logical place for them. If you're still curious, check out the exploded view of ADAM from September and you'll see two slots.

For a while during development, there was mention of a 'docking port' – see, eg: 'Notion Ink Adam tablet gets new web site, 3G capabilities', liliputing.com, 02 August 2010. And that's the edge where I'd expect to find a docking port – but it's now significant by its absence from the 'Input/Output Ports' section of the new NI website's 'Tech specs' page.

So has the docking port been designed out?

I don't think it is supposed to require a docking port.. Rohan mentioned that he does not like the iTunes style sync which needs to take place.. I think the connection with the desktop can happen through the usb port (hoping!! )

yes... I think it's a IRda.. maybe to change channel on Tv, or used with any radio, dvd, decoder, ecc... ;D
