    tech support and warranty???

So it's march 2011, and my Adam sh*ts itself... Im guessing the standard 12 month warranty but i have to send this thing to India, right? And what about tech support, dare i mention indian operated call centres ;-)

I really like the idea of Adam, but we all seem to be extremely confident in the 'untried and untested'.

I guess i should wait for the first reviews.

    Warranty

You are right. Warranty is a big issue for a startup project and company. We have no idea what type of service we are to expect if the adam (forbid it) breaks. I would hope that is something Rohan has thought about and has a plan in place. He's been good on getting his ducks in a row especially for a first timer, but there is bound to be something that falls through the cracks. Let's just hope it's something small that can be easily fixable and not customer support and warranty. Personally, I would love to receive an adam with 3 year warranty in tow, serviceable in the US.

Three year on a first run from a start up. I don't think so unless they get a support company behind them. I hope your right but with what went into this i don't foresee many issues.

Rohan just let me know I have experience in building support teams from scratch and many contacts in the support world. Also I am centrally located. I could easily assist in setting up a US based support center in Missouri. Oh and ST Louis just signed a deal with China that the Airport will be a major US hub for cargo.

Hopefully warranty issues won't be too troublesome.

I'm hoping once open for pre-order, we'll be able to inquire more about support.

Can't they send one unit to Consumer Reports or, somebody who makes a review you can trust, before opening pre-ordering?

We wish! haha. I think what Javier was saying was Consumer Reports, or someone who does reliable and trustworthy reviews, would be able to give us a good, unbiased review to base our purchase off of.
