At this point despite not having my Adam yet, if anyone asked me if I would recommend it, my answer would be a resounding no.
Why?
Their customer support is non-existent (unless you run one of the fan sites or were the first to receive your Adam). I have, to date, received a grand total of two e-mails from Notion Ink.
Two more than a lot of folks? Well, yeah, but they were in direct reply to e-mails I sent regarding my lack of e-mail notifications and both of those were in the form of the 'we're sending you a free gift' stock answer. None of my questions or issues were addressed. I have never once been informed of a shipping delay (all three of them), that my Adam had left the factory or that it had, as the pre-order site now indicates, shipped.
I'm hoping I'm going to love my Adam, but I cannot, in good conscience, recommend any product where the support is so terrible. E-mails either go completely unanswered or are given a form letter response that has nothing to do with the e-mail that was sent. I'm worried to no end at this point that my Adam is going to get dumped on my porch while I'm at work and either rained on or stolen, or that if I actually end up with it in my hands, that I will be completely lacking any support should I have problems.
There has been no explanation as to why so many of us have been left in the dark. It isn't that they aren't sending out e-mails regarding delays or shipping - other people are getting them, but there are a number of us who have been inexplicably left off their mailing list (which is the least I think I deserve considering they've had my $600 for over two months).
I would love to see this issue addressed somewhere by someone from Notion Ink but, like with all three e-mails I've sent to date, they have been quiet.
20% is not too bad. They are getting better. Last time it was only 5%
Just want to make sure everyone who is saying they haven't gotten their tracking number is clear. If your status is "shipped" on the NI site, check your email. The tracking number is in an email that says "Advanced Shipping Notification..." from "ngSupport.AHE@tnt.com". It's not on the site or in an email from NI. You may even want to check your spam folder (not the case for me, but you never know with some email providers).

I'm in the same boat I have never recieved a email from NI unless I email them first. I did recieve a tracking number but that came from TNT not NI . I have never even recieved a invite to the pre-orders the only way I got to order was staying up most of the night and hitting the f5 key
