Heck! I have been waiting for this day for more than an year....I have the invite in my inbox but alas have no money to buy. Never know how many months more I have to wait to lay my hands on something from the Notion Ink stables...(money & preorder combination)

In that case I will have to give up too. I have yet to receive my invitation emails yet, but I will have the same problem as you on the phone number part if what your are facing is not fixed. What is the minimum length of the phone number that was imposed on the order form - 9 digits/10 digits?

I was very happy to finally receive the pre-order email ( I never got the pre-order 1 email) and was looking forward to placing my order for a Pixel Qi Wifi model.

However, when I tried to place my order, I was stymied by the order form which refused to accept my phone number because it was in the wrong format and not long enough!
In Singapore the phone format is Country code (+65) folllowed by 8 digits. This apparently is not accepteable by the order form which kept asking me to correct my phone number because it was lacking the phone format and length of a us phone number.

I thought of padding the phone number with leading zeroes but I was worried that putting a false number here would automatically block my purchase since the clearing agency sometimes verifies the phone number against their records.

I sent an email to the support address to ask if they could fix/suggest something but I got no feedback.

So after missing the pre-order 1 , it appears that I will need to miss the pre-order 2 as well, because of this.
I am very disappointed that such a silly thing like a bad formating in an order form can block my ordering.

Two suggestions to Notion Ink
1. Don't assume all phone numbers around the wold follow the same convention of length and format.
If you want to make phone numbers manadatory in your order form, don't validate the field based on format and length - only validate that it is numeric.

2. Don't make the State/Province field mandatory - Not all countries have states/provinces either.


Bottom line, I wanted to order, but I cannot order so I will now probably start looking at the Xoom or other alternatives...
I cannot wait any longer - I postponed my purchase of a tablet for over a year, since I first heard of the Adam... now I am no longer wiling to wait for pre-order3!

I had trouble with the phone number as well. Don't ype it in parenthesis (as shown in the example). Just one long series of numbers - no spaces.

As Lance suggested, simply enter your phone number without the parentheses as one long string of numbers and it works.

One caveat though - when you get to the CCAvenue credit card payment page, the data you entered in the order form is cleanly transferred across.
My country name was still missing, and the phone number had been truncated as it was expecting the US format.
However, no problem. Simply retype the numbers correctly in the form and then all is well.

Good luck with you order - mine is in - now just need to be patient and wait for the delivery, hopefully by end of month!

Also I had to call the credit card company twice. Once first, but order was rejected, so i had to call them again, but it all worked out.

Ordered PixelQI WIFI, I can expect it it 25 Feb - 10 Mar.

Oh My Gawd, I am so excited, like a kid on Christmas morning.

Apparantly not allowed to spend my money this time around either. A couple more days and I'll give up and go for a cheap netbook (more sensible but not as cool). The CEOs blog promises of a future link (in his personal blog!) to a store-page, so fingers crossed for a tiny bit more.

I got my pre-order through as well. Make sure you get your transaction cleared. It tool me two tries because of this. Same estimated shipping date 25th Feb to 10 March.
