I can only hope that they use plain vanilla 3.0 and officially turn Eden into a launcher, not a skin. But that would probably defeat its purpose :P

Look. Andre is a awesome design guy. He did his job in designing the Eden usage pattern. I think NI can run with this tail wind for some time by writing software to Andre's design. I dont think this is a major blow or anything. I would be very worried about NI if Rohit (of course Rohan as well) quit. Andres guidance can continue to take Adams UI for some time.

With Honeycomb, all these skins from manufacturers are no longer needed. Please NI, give us vanilla Honeycomb!

I like eden. Its quirkiness is simply due to it not yet being final. We're still in pre-order guys, give NI some time to work things out and Eden will become amazing. I'd love using leaves to have RSSfeeds, IM, twitter and facebook all side by side on my display (or just a quick swipe away), which is not something a vanilla system can convincingly do.

Eden is a neat concept, but after seeing Android 3.0 on the Xoom, I definitely would prefer that. Maybe, like JonnyBoy said, NI can turn Eden into a launcher so that we can choose whichever one we prefer.
