Thread: Personal Review/Taking Requests - Tell me what you want to see, I'll try to post it.

Saied: Well, I've been following the Adam for about 7-8 months now, so I've been REALLY looking forward to having this tablet in my hands. That being said, I really like it. I guess the joy of finally having it makes up for its shortcomings. The thing that annoys me the most is the browser. The zoom is picky, and for some reason, whenever I type an address into the address bar and hit enter, it never wants to load the page. the only way I can go to web sites is with another browser, or by searching for the site on google, and then clicking the link. I tried the recovery process posted on Greg's site, but it didn't seem to do anything. My programs and problems stayed the same.

lxt11: Heheh, I'm glad to hear that. I must say, the Adam is a pretty powerful tablet, if it has the power to make me come out of my cave and socialize :P

EDIT: Youtube says its 35 % done

After the recovery process, did the screen/UI get more responsive?

Also - i think NI's browser tries to actively scale the text while you zoom, making it less responsive. Other browsers just zoom.

Kaozskyblade, I understand the leaves don't work in portrait, but does the revolving cards (the thing that's similar to the leaves but is more like coverflow) work in portrait? Thanks!

Flaunt: No, I don't think its that. Once the video loads, maybe it'll be a bit clearer. And for the responsiveness, it stayed the same. Nothing changed. Not sure if I forgot to do something, or if I'm supposed to wipe my unit before the recovery. As I said, all my apps stayed the same.

Figurelli: Nope, that doesn't work either. To be honest, I haven't been using that mode much. Maybe its due to the fact that not many apps have leaves yet.

Cool, thanks, man. I probably won't use Eden unless they work out the problems I keep hearing about. I'll test it out myself, of course, but if it's not going smoothly I won't hesitate to throw Launcherpro on there and call it a day. ADW looks to be working great for people, so hopefully Launcherpro will too (don't see why not), since I prefer it.

The browser issues should be a software fix soon. But you're ok with the PQ screen? Do you notice a "blotchiness" on the right-side part of the screen in dark scenes, like when booting and such?

IDK if you've seen it, but in Greg's unboxing, his screen seemed to be fine. It didn't look like it had that gradient effect (darker on the left and brighter going towards the right). Maybe it's a defect in the hardware that others have.

Rambler358: My adam does have that gradient when it is on the "Notion Ink" screen, but once it's out of it, it disappears. Other than that, my Pixelqi screen works pretty good.

Youtube says 5 more mins. Hope the video turned out good (I didn't even see it, went straight from my camera onto youtube)

Go to another all black screen and I bet you'll be able to tell again.
