Will it be possible to phone / sms with the adam?

Hey!

Totally stupid question (I ask myself why nobody else asked up to now ). Will it be possible to phone and/or write sms with the adam 3G? On Galaxy Tab it is possible, so the same should account to adam, right?

Background: Here in Germany we have some network operators, which offer 3G internet flats for no cost at all. You receive appr. 3-5 sms with commercials once per month and have to answer ("click") one commercial per month to keep the flatrate active.

I have a related question. Not interested in using it as a phone, but I was wondering how the Sim card thing works.
I assume I would be able to take the sim card from my phone, stick it into the Adam, and then get 3G (or Edge) for internet access ?

And are most of you planning to add the Adam to your phone plan somehow ?

Why add to ur phone plan?? you would just be charged more for another plan and sims card? That dont make since to me, but I could be missing something.

Here in Singapore we just get another SIM card with the same /number/account. Data/sms/minutes shared between 2 cards.

I remember reading that it wasn't a phone, hence no market access.

But I also remeber reading that Rohan said you would be able to send SMS.

I'm wondering if it is not being released as a phone for 'legal' reasons (more fees and tests to pass), but might be possible to make it into one through hacking.

I don't count skype etc. as a 'real' phone (though I might use it for video calls). I'd want to use free mins. included with the sim etc. along with bluetooth for instance. I have a small work phone, just want some extra mins. for when I want to make long personal calls.

Sounds interesting. I'd certainly do that. Only I don't know if that is an option in UK.
What happens if you get a call? Will the incoming call be displayed on both phone, and then you just decide which of them to use?

Im just saying it will be possible...thats all. It has all the necessary components for this to happen. So I dont see why not. On another not..maybe You can side load google talk if you want something similar to sms! We have already seen from the earlier videos that Adam did have a phone app installed. So 'possible' thru root..or XDA there is a way. No one is totally sure out of box yet because no one has received their adams yet.
