    Release date in the uk

With the motorola xoom now getting a release date in the uk around the 14th of February notion are really going to need to get there act together and get their product on the shelves. They had a advantage before with not much competition around to be able to take their time but if motorola xoom gets in the shops first notion inks sales will take a big hit as a lot of people are going to go for the first available.

Yes, I agree with this even more. I think it will be some time, likely mid Q2 before we see this device.

From what Ive read into feb is what they are aiming for with motorola xoom but will more likely be march, but even at that notion still havent even given an indication of when their inkpad is going to be in the shops they cant be messing about delaying getting it into the shops for much longer cause it just takes one good tablet to come out first and people will go mad for it.

Also isn't Xoom only tied with cellphone service providers like Verizon? Its not unlocked is it? In that case, the Xoom as an alternative is quite meaningless for those of us who already have a cell phone service or are outside the USA.

Probably, but you would only be paying monthly to have use of the 3g network not like a mobile phone contract as you wouldnt be making mobile calls on a tablet, and packages usually work out well overall.

Thing is even if you bought it outright you would still need to get a 3g contract to use the internet when no wifi is available, not having 3g net on something like this would be a bit rubbish so its a pretty reasonable option.

Also no one has considering the pricing yet. When the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Tab released "unlocked" (non-contract) it came with at $600 price tag. A shipped Adam PQ +3G Wifi is that cost. So if a 7" tab cost $600 how much you think VRZ gonna charge for the 10.1" Xoom?? $800+?? So the Xoom may have similar features as the Adam but if the price isnt right, how can anyone say that the Xoom is the better deal? With an unconfirmed price and an actual release date in question, the Xoom right now doesnt hold any merit in terms of deciding which tablet to choose. IMO
