+ The hardware is gorgeous and the roll on the top makes you wish EVERY tablet had one, infinitely easier to hold with that extra bit of leverage.

- Pixel Chi screen is practically monochrome without backlight, kind of a turn off at first (I won't be reading comic books on it)...

+ ...But being able to go into E-reader mode at a moment's notice is fantastic, especially when your battery is almost out and you want to play another hour, ^,^

- Honeycomb is MANDATORY. My wife installed the custom firmware, so I can't speak for the complexity, but it looked about as easy as all the manual firmware upgrades I made to my first android phone

+ Battery Life in Honeycomb is AWESOME. About nine hours WITH backlight, and I don't know how many without, at least 15 hours, as many as 20

- It's THICK, moreso than most tablets

+ HDMI out, SD card reader, and USB slots more than excuse the bulk, and it isn't heavier than other tablets

+ Games work WONDERFULLY on it, I've been using the Android Market in Honeycomb and playing all my favorites, plus the Tegra optimized content, which runs great!

+ The onscreen keyboard is shockingly awesome, easier to use than virtual keys on phones, by far

+ It's perfect for reading books and - more importantly - pdfs on the go, and I can download free epubs through the browser

OVERALL = Awesome. I'm not a tech journalist and this is just a rough, subjective viewpoint, but I'm really pleased with my purchase. The turning point for me was being able to impress my friends who know nothing of non apple tablets with the e-reader mode and hifi games. As an Adam fan since it was announced, I was somewhat suspicious that I was believing my own hype, but seeing other people react with the same "ooh" and "ah" noises I made when I first read about the Adam was deeply satisfying. The interface has the tiny bit of lag I've come to expect from Android devices, but overall this is 90% of what I hoped for when I first heard about the Adam, and I trust Notion Ink to support this product across the finish line.

And if it doesn't? I will still have the best tablet in existence. :D

Great to hear from a happy user :-) You've highlighted many of the features that keep many of us supporting the Adam.

I agree. Refreshing to hear from a happy Adam owner. With the improvements made in AdamComb 0.2 and my anticipation of the Goliath case (that case just rocks) I too am very happy with my Adam.
